Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager to begin an exciting and challenging career with Powder River Industries, LLC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.

  • Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, cost, timeline risks and issues appropriately.

  • Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.

  • Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.

  • Assist the Program Manager and Chief Technology Architect in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.

  • Manage human resources and staffing functions to ensure project performance is exemplary (e.g., hiring, performance management).

  • Manage one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity

 

Requirements:

 

  • Enterprise Cloud Migration 

  • Have experience with a variety of cloud deployment models and experience with migrating on-premise to cloud, specifically OCI.

  • Scripting be able to automate migration and standard tasks when required

  • Integration Architecture Understand how to integrate data into a specific IT architecture, specifically OCI

  • Databases and Big Data Understand fundamentals and applications of concepts in relation to data migration and standup of infrastructure in OCI

  • Networking have demonstrated experience using VLANs, troubleshooting tools such as ip, netstat, ss and telnet as well as how to harden a system using firewall/iptables and hosts.

  • AUser Management be able to manage a large pool of local users through the command line

  • System Hardening have exposure to or understanding of the DISA STIG or its commercial equivalent and be able to demonstrate experience in system hardening and auditing

  • Virtualization have demonstrated ability using VMWare and be able to maintain and build systems from templates or from scratch via system ISO file

  • Know how to access a VM from the console and perform troubleshooting where necessary

  • Storage understand SAN/storage concepts(LUNs, HBAs), logical volume management (LVM) & NFS and how to utilize all of those at the OS level

  • Team Work/Communication demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as the ability to analyze and solve complex problems. This should include experience in designing, documenting and writing deliverable plans for enterprise implementations using Microsoft Office products such as MS Project and MS Visio.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years IT experience or equivalent

  • ITIL V3 certification

  • Delivering outsourced services within SLAs

  • Business and Portfolio expertise

  • At least 10+ years of experience in Federal Government Agency IT area with management experience

  • Experience leading by example in a large, complex Federal IT environment

  • PMP Certification
