About the Job

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Powder River Industries supporting the Air Force weather community and the TADS contract.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with software developers to deploy and operate systems. Help automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments. Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration, experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible or an equivalent. Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services. A working understanding of code and script. Knowledge and understanding of best practices and IT operations.

The ideal candidate is well-rounded with software development and automation experience. The team embraces pair programming and swarming. Primary duties will include automating the testing and deployment of a complex remote sensing system and troubleshooting issues that arise in the process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline and 5 years or more experience OR 9 years or more experience in lieu of a degree.

  • At least 3 years of DevOps experience.

  • At least 3 years of development experience with Python.

  • Strong collaboration and teaming skills

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
