About the Job

We are looking for an Office Clerk to join Powder River Industries.

As an Office Clerk, you will be the voice of Powder River Industries to help find candidates a better future. Office Clerks talk with potential candidates as a crucial part of the recruiting process to find skills and strengths and build relationships for job opportunities. Office Clerks need to handle a variety of different tasks. Vital among these responsibilities is the ability to manage time well; use software, scripts, and tools; and maintain lasting relationships with other call members, as well as candidates.


  • Answer and make calls to candidates to learn about and address their needs

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to callers, explaining positions, and ensuring candidates feel supported and valued

  • Engage in active listening with callers

  • Building lasting relationships with candidates and other team members based on trust and reliability

  • Utilize software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately

  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed call metrics while providing excellent and consistent service

  • Make recommendations for candidates to hiring manager

  • Take part in training and other learning opportunities as provided

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years sales experience

  • 1+ years customer service experience

  • Exceptional active listening, verbal and written communication skills, and professional phone voice

  • Understanding of company products, services, and policies

  • Proficiency with computers, especially with CRM software, and strong typing skills

  • Strong time management and decision-making skills

  • Adaptability and accountability
